Dars e Nizami Books:

It is a matter of great pride and honor for Australian Islamic Library to present our huge collection of Dars e Nizami and Ijazah courses books and multimedia courses.

Generally, our brothers and sisters pursuing higher level Islamic Studies in West find it difficult to access relevant books and classical texts in English. This led us to build this library and collect all essential texts.

It is equally useful for students of knowledge in sub-continent where students benefit massively from cross-referencing and comparative study from various books. 

Last but not the least, we want to highlight the importance of knowing more than one languages. This opens us doors to vast oceans of knowledge. We recommend all students to develop high level of competence in Arabic and English in addition to their native languages, if different from these. This is not only important from studies point of view but also to give effective Dawah.

Important Point:

It is highly recommended to study advanced level Islamic Studies under an authentic scholar to spell out any lack of understanding or misunderstanding. It is same as how we can study the basic level texts of any subject for general understanding, say for example IT, sociology, journalism etc., but for complex high level details, we need to go to universities and institutions to ensure correct understanding.

Virtues of Seeking Knowledge

Allah SWT highlights the importance of knowledge seeking by saying:

هَلْ يَسْتَوِي الَّذِينَ يَعْلَمُونَ وَالَّذِينَ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ

Are those with knowledge equal to those without knowledge? (Surah Az-Zumar 39:9)

and

 يَرْفَعِ اللَّهُ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا مِنكُمْ وَالَّذِينَ أُوتُوا الْعِلْمَ دَرَجَاتٍ

Allah will raise the status of those who believe among you and who are given knowledge by degrees. (Surah Al-Mujadila 58:11)


Our beloved Prophet has told us the criteria of success through following words of wisdom:

مَنْ يُرِدِ اللَّهُ بِهِ خَيْرًا يُفَقِّهْهُ فِي الدِّينِ

If Allah intends good for someone, He bestows understanding of the religion. (Sahih Bukhari)


and:

لَا حَسَدَ إِلَّا فِي اثْنَتَيْنِ رَجُلٌ آتَاهُ اللَّهُ مَالًا فَسُلِّطَ عَلَى هَلَكَتِهِ فِي الْحَقِّ وَرَجُلٌ آتَاهُ اللَّهُ الْحِكْمَةَ فَهُوَ يَقْضِي بِهَا وَيُعَلِّمُهَا

There is no envy except in two cases: a man whom Allah has given wealth and he spends it according to its right; and a man whom Allah has given wisdom, and he judges by it and teaches it. (Sahih Bukhari)


and:

مَنْ سَلَكَ طَرِيقًا يَلْتَمِسُ فِيهِ عِلْمًا سَهَّلَ اللَّهُ لَهُ طَرِيقًا إِلَى الْجَنَّةِ

Whoever travels a path in search of knowledge, Allah makes easy for him a path to Paradise. (Sahih Muslim)


and:

أَلَا إِنَّ الدُّنْيَا مَلْعُونَةٌ مَلْعُونٌ مَا فِيهَا إِلَّا ذِكْرُ اللَّهِ وَمَا وَالَاهُ وَعَالِمٌ أَوْ مُتَعَلِّمٌ

Is not the world cursed and everything in it? It is so except for the remembrance of Allah and what facilitates it, the scholar and the seeker of knowledge. (At-Tirmidhi)

and:



فَضْلُ الْعَالِمِ عَلَى الْعَابِدِ كَفَضْلِي عَلَى أَدْنَاكُمْ إِنَّ اللَّهَ وَمَلَائِكَتَهُ وَأَهْلَ السَّمَوَاتِ وَالْأَرَضِينَ حَتَّى النَّمْلَةَ فِي جُحْرِهَا وَحَتَّى الْحُوتَ لَيُصَلُّونَ عَلَى مُعَلِّمِ النَّاسِ الْخَيْرَ

The superiority of the scholar over the worshiper is like my superiority over the least of you; verily, Allah, His angels, and the inhabitants of the heavens and the earth, even the ant in his hole, even the fish, send blessings upon the one who teaches people to do good. (At-Tirmidhi)
