BY Dr. Faisal Ali Finality of the Prophethood in Islam is defined as “No messenger or apostle will/can be born after Prophet Muhammad ﷺ and no divine revelation can ever take place on any other person during & after the lifetime of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ plus no prophet will come after Prophet Muhammad ﷺ who will increase or make an addition to the exact count of prophets from Adam to prophet Muhammad ﷺ which in conclusion means that prophet Muhammad ﷺ is the last & final messenger of God in Islamic religion and no new prophet will come after him.” The finality of prophethood is mentioned in the Holy Koran in Chapter 33: verse 40 & Chapter 5: verse 3. While in books of sayings of the Prophet, it is mentioned in Sahih Bukhari: Hadith No 3455, No 3535, No 4416, No 6194, No 6990, Sunan Abi Dawood: Hadith No 4252 & Tirmidhi: Hadith No 2219.
Hence, it is concluded that the era of wahi (divine revelation) came to an end with the demise of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ and no further divine revelation (wahi) can/will ever take place on any person who is born after Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). As far as the Qadianism or Ahmadiyya movement is concerned, it is nothing but a euphemism for deception.
