Dawah Training by Dr. Bilal Philips

Sheikhh Abu Ameenah Bilal Philips was born in Jamaica, and grew up in Canada, where he accepted Islam in 1972. After accepting Islam he started his pursuit of knowledge and explored various avenues. He felt as if he had found the real essence of Islam when he went to University of Madinah on a scholarship and completed his education in Usool Ad-Deen in 1979. He also completed his masters in Theology in 1985 fromUniversity of Riyadh, College of Education. He then further his education from Department of Islamic Studies at the University of Wales, by completing Ph.D. in Islamic Theology in 1994. 


Since 1994 he has founded and directed the Islamic Information Center in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (which is now known as 'Discover Islam') and the Foreign Literature Department of Dar Al Fatah Islamic Press in Sharjah, UAE. He also lecturered  Arabic and Islamic Studies courses at the American University in Dubai and Ajman University in Ajman, UAE. 

His key milestone is formation of Islamic Online University which offers free diploma in Islamic Studies along with Bachelors and Masters qualifications in various disciplines. with his Dawah efforts, a huge number of people have found their Lord and the straight path of Islam.
