Approach:

This course is run on blended learning approach. We will be using a mix of face-to-face localized training through local and international scholars and experts, online courses, practical assessments and other learning mechanisms, inshaAllah.

Examination:

Learning objectives:

At the end of this course, the students would have:

• Understood the broad message of the Quran
• Studied all the Agreed upon narrations from Bukhari and Muslim
• Developed an introductory level insight into the foundational sciences (Usul)
• Understood the basic principles relating to purification of the hearts
• Understand the matters of fiqh pertaining to mandatory acts of worship and common day to day matters
• Acquired an ability to understand basic Arabic sentences and to formulate simple sentences
• Acquired a detailed insight into the seerah of the Prophet PBUH
• Acquired a taste of some of the other essential Islamic sciences and developed a motivation to pursue further study

Resources:

Each six-month semester usually comprises of 150 contact hours on average (1.0 FT). Students can also choose to do these courses on part-time basis. The contact hours are determined by the duration of lectures and do not include self-study time.
